The Roland Berger Foundation, an independent public foundation under German civil law, was established on March 27, 2008 by Prof. Dr. h.c. Roland Berger. It is headquartered in Munich, Germany.

The charitable goals of The Roland Berger Foundation are twofold:

  1. Global preservation of human dignity:
The Foundation is committed to respecting, supporting and protecting human dignity and human rights throughout the world. It promotes international understanding and tolerance, in order to foster a free and peaceful society in which all people can achieve their full potential. The Roland Berger Human Dignity Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose exemplary and successful endeavors promote human dignity, international understanding and tolerance. The EUR 1 million award endowment supports efforts in these areas.
  2. Educational advancement:
The Roland Berger Foundation sponsors gifted youth from socially disadvantaged families. The Fit for Responsibility scholarship program enables them to obtain a high-quality education and thereby achieve self-determination in their lives.

The Roland Berger Foundation is endowed with a foundation capital of EUR 50 million and is governed by an Executive Board and a Board of Trustees.
