The musical's main actors are busy rehearsing their roles as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion. These four scholars come from Germany's Ruhr area, but have been in Munich regularly to perfect their roles at the theater. And they are obviously having great fun. Under the professional wing of director Holger Seitz and his assistant Janna Meder, tenor and co-director Götz Schuricke and conductor Eva Pons, the new theater experience turned out to be a real pleasure for the scholars.
From July 20, 2010 the four youngsters and 60 further recipients of the "Fit for responsibility" scholarship will start the final phase of rehearsals in Munich, when the choir, orchestra and all actors will perform together. The scholarship holders, or rather the musical team, are from Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg and North Rhine-Westphalia and aged from nine to 18.
