"The magic flute" in Berlin

Young scholarship recipients from Berlin and Brandenburg let themselves be inspired by Mozart's Magic Flute at the first opera workshop in January.

In the afternoon, each child slipped into one of the roles of the opera. And not only were the scholarship recipients required to act - their mentors and parents donned costumes as well.

At the end of the workshop there were four Papagenos, two Paminas, two Taminos and several Queens of the Night, Sarastros, Monostratos as well as other cast members. They all improvised several scenes of the opera. Everyone waited with anticipation for the evening performance: Will we recognize our scenes? How will I like "my" role on stage? However, there were no signs of exhaustion - even after three hours of performance. Everyone was in agreement: opera is fun! Many children want to be a part of the next opera seminar.
