Roland Berger - Portrait

Prof. Dr. h.c. Roland Berger

"As a child during the second world war, I saw, even in my own family, how political distress can cause fear and suffering, and how precious human dignity and tolerance are. At the same time, I feel that I belong to a very privileged generation: I have enjoyed more than 60 years of peace and increasing prosperity. I feel a need to share this good fortune with others. That is why I want my foundation to promote equity of opportunity in education, thus further opening the top of the social funnel, ultimately benefiting all members of society." (Roland Berger)
